Setting Up Email (SMTP) for a Tenant

Configure custom email delivery so system emails come from the school's own domain

Open SMTP Settings

On the tenant detail page, scroll to the "Email Configuration (SMTP)" card.

Enter SMTP Server Details

Fill in Host, Port, Username, Password, and the From address (e.g., noreply@school.edu).

💡

Pro Tips:

  • Port 587 (STARTTLS) is standard for most providers
  • Use app-specific passwords for Gmail/Outlook accounts
  • The "From" name is what parents see in their inbox

Send Test Email

Click "Send Test Email" to verify the configuration before saving.

Pro Tips:

  • Check spam folder if test email doesn't arrive in the inbox

Save

Click "Save". All system emails for this tenant will now use this SMTP configuration.
