Setting Up Salary Structures

Define salary components and amounts for different staff roles

Open Payroll > Salary Structures

Go to Payroll > Salary Structures in the sidebar.

Create New Structure

Click "New Salary Structure" and give it a name (e.g., "Senior Teacher - Grade A").

Pro Tips:

  • Create separate structures for different pay grades
  • You can clone an existing structure

Add Earnings Components

Add items like Basic Pay, HRA, DA, TA. Set each as a fixed amount or % of Basic.

  • Mark components as taxable or non-taxable
  • Percentage-based components auto-calculate

Add Deduction Components

Add deductions like PF, ESI, Professional Tax, or Loan EMI.

Assign to Staff

Go to each staff member's profile and assign the relevant salary structure.
